FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
When Army Veteran Chris Pozek founded Veterans Rideshare, Inc., it was with the purpose of giving back to our veteran community. The California-based transportation services company provides non-emergency medical transport, freight shipping, and more.
As a part of its mission, Veterans Rideshare gives back to our service members by employing veterans, providing special rates and fares for veteran service organizations, and donating a portion of all fares to nonprofit organizations that support those who have served our country.
This May, Veterans Rideshare is honoring Veterans in a new way, through a weekend extravaganza called VETFEST. The three-day event will showcase Veteran artists through a mural competition where artists will paint their rendition of the company’s mission on the side of a 53’ semi truck trailer. Additionally, talents will be highlighted through a Vets Got Talent show, and attendees will enjoy BBQ, beverages, appreciation, and camaraderie. Admission is complimentary.
Pozek shares, “I know there are a ton of talented, artistic Veterans out there that want to showcase their work, but never get an opportunity. I developed this idea so they could take their interpretation of our mission and emulate it for the entire nation to see their work as our trucks roll across every highway in America. I believe with the arts being ripped out of the academic curriculum due to lack of funding across the country, that we should start encouraging a higher level of involvement from the community to promote events and programs that support our Brothers and Sisters that are artistic.”
